Dear Jean,

Maybe I should first and foremost thank you for writing back. You gave me the courage to stay behind and not leave. However, situations worsened.

Bukky and her gang were attacked. She is currently in a coma. Two of her gang members have been reportedly missing. The only available member of the gang told me she'd be away from school for a while. I don't know what happened or how Bukky's gang was discovered. I'm afraid that my life is no longer safe.

Bukky had kept every piece of information secret. She had instructed her gang to do the same. I was the only outsider who knew a few of their activities.

The incident has hurt me. Bukky deserves to live. I need her alive. Nonetheless, I will take the issue from where she left it.

My parents have been clamouring that I stop my indulgence in this case, but I refused. They threatened to travel overseas and leave me behind, but I wasn’t perturbed one bit. Just yesterday, they eventually travelled out of the country.

The good news is that the Director of Academic Affairs — Bukky’s father — is now in jail. Rumours have it that he embezzled quite a lot of money from the school’s treasury. But I think it’s beyond that.

I have two new hands to help me carry out my investigations. They happen to be my friends and the best in their respective departments. The father of one of my new teammates is the Commissioner of Police, while the mother of the other is the Chief Judge. With their parents on our side, we'll definitely get to the root of this.

What should we do next? Abduct them? By far, this is the best thing I can think of.

Your lover,

Asaph.
